Meet the Maker
In the Summer of 2017 I made my first “knife shaped object” and caught the knife making bug!
It wasn’t long after I bought a few more tools and started making my second knife on the back patio of the tiny apartment I was in. I spent my free hours watching Youtube Knife makers like Simple Little Life, Walter Sorrells, and Alec Steele.
In November 2019 I Started B.Kohn Knives
A work friend of mine asked if I could make a Christmas present and just like that my small knife business was born! The first few sales were “rustic” file knives. I quickly realized that my little hobby could grow into a career if I worked hard and learned as much as I could about the knife making craft.
In August 2020 I Started a YouTube Channel
One of my goals as a knife maker was to give back to the community that taught me so much. I never believed that I’d become a “YouTuber” but I do enjoy making and sharing every video I make! It wouldn’t be possible without my awesome videographer Kyle Fields. Feel free to like, comment, and subscribe!

Since Then…
Over the past few years I’ve been constantly making knives. I’ve improved my tools, processes, and skills to the point where I am confident that I can make a quality knife that can last the test of time. I’ve had the opportunity to have knives in professional kitchens and in the hands of customers all across the country. I’ve also stepped up my social media game by posting regularly on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok on top of my videos on YouTube. I was also honored to be added as a host of the Work For It Podcast in June of 2021. We release new shows every Tuesdays wherever you can find podcasts!
